Preserving a vital community institution
With Allah’s Name, the Merciful Benefactor, the Merciful Redeemer
“And it will be said to those who feared Allah , “What did your Lord send down?” They will say, “That which is good.” For those who do good in this world is good; and the home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous – Gardens of perpetual residence, which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. They will have therein whatever they wish. Thus does Allah reward the righteous -The ones whom the angels take in death, being good and pure; the angels will say, “Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise for what you used to do.” –Al-Qur’an, Al-Nahl (The Bee): 16:30-32
Expanding CWSC’s Vision – Welcoming AM360
Dearest Believers: As-Salaam-Alaikum.
We pray you are enjoying some well-deserved down time with your families while the broader society is on break.
It’s wonderful to be wrapping up the year with a significant list of accomplishments, and while we won’t list them all here now since we’ll soon be publishing the CWSC Annual Report, we do want to mention the great blessing that Allah (SWT) has given us recently in the spirit and work of our commitment to help our Community.
That great blessing is the addition of American Muslim 360 (AM36) to the Community Wide Shuraa Conference (CWSC) family. Only Allah (SWT) could foresee the expansion of CWSC’s vision not only as a national intelligentsia, think tank and volunteer resource network, but now we are complementing that vision with the national broadcasting capability of AM360 Radio Network! Praise be to Allah (SWT).
The addition of AM360 Radio to CWSC is a perfect complement and makes CWSC a formidable influence for remaking the world.
We are thankful to Dr. Aisha Kareem and Brother Thomas Abdul Salaam for both their vision in founding the AM360 Network and having the trust and confidence in CWSC to operate, manage and grow AM360 to new heights.
Yet with blessings come responsibilities. We have a heavy responsibility, but Allah (SWT) has also equipped us to carry out the charge, for our Lord never lays a burden upon us greater than we can bear. And it is in this regard that we appeal to you to help secure the financial future of American Muslim 360 Radio.
Right now, believers all over the country and even outside the country are listening to Islamic programming twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We have seniors and the disabled who can no longer attend Salatul Jumuah, but who can now listen to Salatul Jumah from around the country every Friday in the comfort of their homes. We have the tafsir and hikmat of Imam W. Deen Mohammed (ra) shared with the entire world on AM360 along with Arabiyyah instruction, politics, economics, health, arts, culture and the list goes on.
It is now our direct charge and our entire community’s responsibility to keep AM360 not only solvent and on-air, but to help take it to the next level including instituting plans to make it profitable to sustain itself. But profitability planning will take time. Because CWSC is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) we have the ability right now to ensure CWSC is there tomorrow, next week and in the years to come serving everyone.
So this week we ask you to join us in making a tax deductible contribution to CWSC for the preservation of AM360.
Our brother Thomas and Sister Aisha have been paying out of their pockets for all of us. But now they can no longer and should no longer shoulder that burden, especially at this time of dealing with terminal illness. CWSC is now rightfully the community’s responsibility.
Our brother Thomas and Sister Aisha have taken the noble step of placing AM360 under the watchful eye of CWSC so that this vital institution continues on regardless of the loss of any one person. All of us are also grateful to our Brother William Kareem, Director for the CWSC Communications Team among his other leadership roles, who has taken the reins of Executive Producer and done a magnificent job not only in making sure AM360 does not miss a beat, but he is also helping forge the way to a new and improved AM360.
Plans are underway to put into place a transition team that will eventually become the Governance Committee for AM360 under CWSC. The AM360 Transition Team and Governance Committee will be developing the long-term strategic plan for AM360’s successful integration into CWSC as a profitable broadcasting network. This new chapter for AM360 and CWSC also presents a vocational opportunity to those persons seeking broadcast experience, especially our youth. So if you have skills or are looking for opportunities to strengthen the Islamic communications media, register to join the group intellect.
But most important is that financing is critical now. Give according to your means and please encourage others to click here or on the donate button at the top right of this page and make a one-time or recurring contribution to help fund AM360, a vital part of our model community vision.
With each of us doing a small part, it will be easy on all of us and at the same time the goal will be met. In fact, if each of us made a recurring contribution of just $14 per month, we would secure AM360’s future. But please give what is affordable for you and encourage others.
Please stay tuned to receive notice of the CWSC Annual Report. We thank you for your consideration and generosity.
May Allah reward you greatly…together we can remake the world.
As-Salaam-Alaikum.
The CWSC Team
