CWSC Commitment to Privacy
We understand your privacy is important to you; it is also important to us. We’re committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the trusting relationship Community Wide Shuraa Conference (“CWSC, Inc.”, “we,” “us” or “our”) establishes with our volunteer consultants, nonprofit institution, and other organizations and users of our site. Our privacy policy (“Privacy Policy“) is published to help you understand how we collect, use, and/or disclose your information now or how we may do so in the future.

User Consent
When you submit information online or offline, you expressly agree to our processing of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your Information may be processed by us in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States) where laws regarding processing of Information may be less stringent than laws in your country.

Information We Collect
You may have visited CWSC at http://cwsconline.wordpress.com, or http://www.cwsc.us, or used a mobile application, or other third-party site to access our services or the services of an affiliated partner or sponsor (“Partners“). This policy is applicable for all information you provide to CWSC. Note we are not responsible for any information you submit directly to third parties, including our Partners, who may publish their own policies for collecting, using, or disclosing your information. You should review the policies of our Partners or other sites through whom you access our services.

Information categories, including personal information, (“Information“) we may collect from you are:

  • Other information requested by an institution or CWSC for you to volunteer for a specific opportunity.

For Institutions using our Services to accept volunteer consultant opportunities, we may collect:

  • Administrator Information – First Name; Last Name; Email; Telephone; Zip Code; User ID and Password. Address and City; State; Country.
  • Institutional Information – Organization Name; Point of Contact (Name, Title, First and Last Name, Telephone, Address, City, State, Country, Zip, Email); Services Description; Mission, Vision and Core Values Statements; Tax ID/EIN, NCES school ID, and/or proof of non-profit status; Affiliations; Volunteer Category; Web Address.
  • Volunteer Opportunity Information – Opportunity Title; Email Contact; Description; Volunteer Type; Required Skills and Other Requirements; Date; Time; Commitment Information; Location Information: Physical Location or “Online” Designation. Volunteer Age; Organization Size.

How We Use Information

CWSC does not sell, rent, or trade your Information as a volunteer, administrator, or nonprofit user to outside parties. We use your Information to provide and improve our Services, facilitate volunteering, fielding your requests, and sharing information with you.

Note that in order to provide our services, we share your Information with volunteer users, institutions, our third-party servicers, affiliates or partners, as applicable. We may use our email database for transmitting CWSC communications. We reserve the right to use your Information to transmit e-mails. You may opt out of receiving e-mails only by deletion of your account by emailing us at info@cwsc.us.

Feedback or comments you publicly share on any of our sites or that are provided by you in any form on our sites may be generally accessed by any visitor to the Website or reposted by CWSC to be shared across other CWSC social media, blog, other web sites, or offline in CWSC published newsletters, brochures or other print media. You should give due consideration and care when posting feedback or comments to the site, as you will forfeit the privacy of that information. Positive comments you share by email that in CWSC’s opinion helps CWSC fulfill its mission and vision may also be posted publicly online or offline, unless you state you do not wish your comments to be shared publicly.

For consultant volunteer users, we may also use your Information as follows:

If you indicate you are interested in establishing a unique personal account, the information we obtain will be used to provide you with the Services and permit you: account access, customization for your profile including skills and interests, customization of email, review of your online usage history and/or posting, transmission and attachment of a resume in response to inquiries you make using CWSC’s service. Furthermore, an institution might collect additional information from you, independent of CWSC in connection with its volunteer outreach services. You should make inquiry directly with the institution for an explanation of why and how such information is collected.

When you provide notice of interest in a specific volunteer opportunity, along with your Information, we will forward your interest and Information to the institution that communicated or otherwise listed the opportunity so that institution can contact you regarding your potential involvement. An institution may publish its own policies regarding collection and use of personal information and CWSC is not responsible for their use of your Information. To learn more about an institution’s privacy policy and use of your information, please contact them directly.

For institutions, we may also use your Information in the following ways:

When you provide Information as a nonprofit entity of CWSC, your Information except EIN may be accessed by anyone who accesses CWSC. We may also provide your Information with EIN, with selected Partners in order to verify your identity and tax status. Institutions receiving email addresses from potential volunteer signups are highly encouraged to publish privacy policies that comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations. Inappropriate use of personal information obtained from CWSC may result in termination of a nonprofit’s access to CWSC’s services. CWSC reserves all rights of determination, by its discretion, as to what constitutes appropriate use of information.

Minor’s Privacy

We generally welcome Volunteers age 18 and over. Due to our designation as a non-profit organization, we are not obligated to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Nevertheless, we strongly encourage users under age 15 to access our site or services only with parental consent and/or supervision.

Third-parties

Occasionally, we or our affiliates or partners, use third-party servicers to provide or improve services we offer you. These providers may have access to the Information we collect about you as a part of providing, maintaining, and improving our Services. We may share aggregate information about our users with certain third parties; this information shows activity by a user on a group, rather than individual basis. In the unusual circumstance of CWSC being sold or transferring all or substantially all of its assets, the acquiring agency may use your Information subject to this Privacy Policy. In the unlikely event CWSC is judged bankrupt or insolvent by a competent court of jurisdiction, CWSC will cease using or disclosing personally identifiable Information and take reasonable steps to destroy personally identifiable Information on any CWSC servers. Furthermore, CWSC will not disclose your personally identifiable Information to any entity that acquires CWSC’s assets pursuant to bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings.

It is however, impossible to fully ensure that your Information will not be disclosed to third parties due to legal disclosure obligations to governmental agencies or other third parties under certain circumstances, or when third parties circumvent security measures intended to protect your Personal Information.

Proofing Your Information

Nonprofit institutions or consultant volunteers with a personal CWSC account either through mobile application or a Partner’s site may make changes to your Information online by inputting your username and password where indicated on the applicable Service. If you encounter problems modifying your Information, please contact CWSC at info@cwsc.us.

Institutional administrators may modify information online. If you have problems modifying Information, contact CWSC. If you are a nonprofit or consultant volunteer with an account and wish to have your Information deleted from the site, please contact CWSC at info@cwsc.us.

Communications Options

Available CWSC newsletter or other subscription services and alerts are optional. You may unsubscribe opt-out from receiving newsletter and subscription mailings by changing online preferences or emailing info@cwsc.us with subject remove.

We may use our email databank to transmit CWSC communications on enhancements, upgrades, or service offerings. Registered accounts are required to receive these communications.

When you access our site or Services, we and others may provide you choices about using solutions for tracking, including online activity tracking across the net by third parties. Many browsers are default set to automatically accept cookies. Per your preference, usually you may choose to set your browser to remove and reject CWSC and other parties’ cookies.
