Health Talk 360

Join us each Wednesday from 9 – 11 a.m. EST for an edition of Health Talk 360 with Dr. Constance D. Shabazz. This program focuses on the Islamic perspective of health, wellness and healthcare issues that affect our physical, mental and spiritual well-being with the goal of informing you on topical health issues and common disease prevention and treatment education. Dr. Shabazz will facilitate access to affordable healthcare information. This week’s program: COVID-19 WWPMD (What Would Prophet Muhammed Do?) – Part VI.

COVID-19 has heightened awareness of many disparities affecting African Americans and other communities of color. Poor health outcomes are a manifestation of personal responsibility, but also systemic racism which has resulted in generations of income inequality, poor education, poor housing and lack of access to wealth building – all of which impact health. Now is the time to focus on and work for the realization and actualization of “Do For Self.” We’re are our own saviors. Join a two hour episode on what we need to create a “Model Muslim Community.” This week’s April 22, 2020 guest is Chicago Community Activist, Denise Ferguson.
