black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics [and Muslims]

On this day of remembrance…

NATIONAL ― “And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics [and Muslims], will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”–Hon. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The CWSC AM360 Radio-Telethon finalizes on this day of remembrance of the life, work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indeed both Dr. King and his beautiful partner, the Honorable Coretta Scott King, both drum majors for justice, stood for the millions who could not have their voices heard. Today we have asked you to take a stand to ensure our voices are heard all across this land that we may take our full rightful place at the table of this national and international group intellect. This is the final day of our Telethon. We are heading toward $7,000 of our $12,000 goal. We have till midnight–let us work till the last hour, last minute, and last second. The work we have undertaken deserves no less than to work diligently toward our goal to the very end and especially on this day.

Will you be there for now American Muslim 360?

NATIONAL ― As-Salaam-Alaikum (Peace be with you).

Right now the Community Wide Shuraa Conference (CWSC) is in the final week of its national radio-telethon to financially secure the #1 Islamic blogtalk radio station in the nation along with a host of other important community service programs that form a vital part of the American Muslim Intelligentsia.

The goal: to raise $12,000 in this current campaign to help us continue bringing the quality programming you’ve come to expect. CWSC makes Islamic programming available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week…nearly nearly 9000 hours of community service. More Salatul Jumahs from the widest group intellect are broadcast at AM360 than any other source in America, and that means our elderly, disabled and the infirm can hear the Jumah from the comfort of their home; in fact, for many AM360 is their lifeline to their community.

When CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) Atlanta and Connecticut took to the airwaves after the Paris Attacks and immigration response to the Syrian refugee crisis, they addressed the community on AM360. When the historic Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture achieved the National Medal for Museum and Library Service, it’s then director Dr. Khalil Gibran Muhammad, great-grandson of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and author of The Condemnation of Blackness: Race, Crime, and the Making of Modern Urban America, informed the Community on AM360.

When Spelman College’s Najah Mateen won the Words Make People Leadership & Community Service Scholarship Award in honor of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, the Community applauded her achievement and embraced her and her family for their commitment to education and civic pride –on AM360.

Whether the topic is U.S. immigration policy and reform, the tafsir of Imam W. Deen Mohammed (RA), panels discussions on our history as a community, unfair discriminatory police profiling, and all the major issues of the day from religion, politics, faith and education, to music, business, health, the arts, physical fitness and more–in real-time and from an Islamic perspective, AM360 opens the listener to the world of Al-Islam in America.

So we ask you now to be there for AM360, the Model Communities National Resource Directory & Resource Network, Muslim American Pioneers Scholarships & History Preservation Programs, Share Your Jumah, Internships, the National Speakers Bureau and more!

Expanding 2016 College Scholarship Opportunities: The Twin Servant of Peace Excellence in Broadcasting & Communication College Scholarship Award

CWSCScholarships

We’re adding a third scholarship to help inspire new leaders for our intelligentsia! Integrated into the ongoing CWSC AM360 Radio-Telethon is the drive to help fund a new scholarship at CWSC: The Twin Servant of Peace Excellence in Broadcasting & Communication College Scholarship in honor of AM360 and CWSC founder the late Thomas Abdul Salaam (RA). Our Brother Thomas was blessed to make connections from the wisdom of Imam Dr. W. Deen Mohammed (RA) by peering into the future and making one of the greatest connections our Community has ever benefited from.

Thomas, integrated the vision of a national working intelligentsia with a powerful broadcasting medium…he brought together CWSC and AM360 to create the shared freedom space for ideas coming from our group intellect; he paired that freedom with the apparatus to connect believers anywhere in the country or even the world to work for the realization of those ideas. If you respected his work, appreciated his sacrifice and his love for our Community, if you value the ongoing work, if you believe we need our own media and national working intelligentsia, then now is the time to show your support. And help inspire a new generation of broadcasters, journalists and authors to think big, just as Thomas did…to help remake the world. Give generously.
