CWSC welcomes new AM360 producer
AM360’s New Executive Producer joins others in Bayah…
“We require a degree of integrity from those we will entrust with leadership…We look for principle and broad-mindedness., bigheartedness, kindness, and love for everybody from those who seek public office along with the qualifications he/she would need to do the practical job.”—Imam W. Deen Mohammed
Mustafa Mujahid was recently announced as new executive producer at AM360. Well Sunday, three CWSC volunteers including Mustafa, officially assumed the duties of their offices of leadership with the CWSC Oath, with each receiving letters of appointment and giving the bayah (pledge of allegiance) to uphold the highest standards of performance and excellence in service to the Community. Preceded by comments from CWSC’s Executive Director, Mukhtar Muhammad, the oaths recited included the following statements: “All reverence, all worship, all sanctity are due to Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet and the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings. Peace be on us and all the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that none is deserving of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Mohammed is His Servant and Messenger.”
Oath of Office:
I [name] in accordance with the applicable laws of the State of North Carolina and the United States, do accept appointment as [Title of Office] for the Community Wide Shuraa Conference in service to the Believers. I solemnly affirm before Allah (SWT) and before the believers present as witnesses, that I will fulfill my duties and obligations as both a leader and follower and that I will faithfully discharge the duties and responsibilities assumed to the best of my ability.” Congratulations to Mustafa Mujahid, AM360 Interim Executive Producer; Dr. Aisha Kareem, Chief Executive Officer for AM360 and Martha Nailah William, CWSC’s Corporate Secretary.
The oaths were recited during the CWSC 4th Sunday National Teleconference. We ask for prayers for the believers and their families and that Allah (SWT) will accept their service and aid them in carrying out their responsibilities.
Stay tuned to AM360 and the CWSC Townhall Central website. CWSC College scholarships available – Apply now!
Scholarships are another intelligentsia component at CWSC and focuses on the fact that while we’re working on any number of issues at any point in time, we must devote resources simultaneously to secure our next generation intelligentsia leaders. Each February through June, our scholarship cycle opens to qualified matriculating college-bound high school and current college students. In addition to providing cash funds to pay for higher education, our scholarship programs have some special features including a historical and cultural preservation component that offers families of pioneers the ability to open nationally supported, tax deductible college scholarships in honor of a pioneer.
Through MAP scholarships, CWSC is a national scholarship administrator helping families establish lasting legacies for those who helped make a home for Al-Islam in America. In essence, the next generation will learn about your pioneer’s contributions and be inspired to not only get an education, but to also be civically engaged in helping to remake the world.
Because of the generosity of families in the MAP program and donor support during the historic CWSC-AM360 Radio-Telethon, we now have three scholarships including, The Words Make People Literary Excellence & Scholarship Award honoring Imam W. Deen Mohammed; the Payton Next Generation Scholarship in honor of James and Henrietta Payton, and the Twin Servant of Peace Excellence in Broadcasting & Communication Scholarship for 2016. We have commitments from more families to establish pioneer scholarships this year.Apply here.
