Will you be there for American Muslim 360?

NATIONAL ― As-Salaam-Alaikum (Peace be with you).

Right now the Community Wide Shuraa Conference (CWSC) is in the final week of its national radio-telethon to financially secure the #1 Islamic blogtalk radio station in the nation along with a host of other important community service programs that form a vital part of the American Muslim Intelligentsia.

The goal: to raise $12,000 in this current campaign to help us continue bringing the quality programming you’ve come to expect. CWSC makes Islamic programming available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week…nearly nearly 9000 hours of community service. More Salatul Jumahs from the widest group intellect are broadcast at AM360 than any other source in America, and that means our elderly, disabled and the infirm can hear the Jumah from the comfort of their home; in fact, for many AM360 is their lifeline to their community.

When CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) Atlanta and Connecticut took to the airwaves after the Paris Attacks and immigration response to the Syrian refugee crisis, they addressed the community on AM360. When the historic Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture achieved the National Medal for Museum and Library Service, it’s then director Dr. Khalil Gibran Muhammad, great-grandson of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and author of The Condemnation of Blackness: Race, Crime, and the Making of Modern Urban America, informed the Community on AM360.

When Spelman College’s Najah Mateen won the Words Make People Leadership & Community Service Scholarship Award in honor of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, the Community applauded her achievement and embraced her and her family for their commitment to education and civic pride –on AM360.

Whether the topic is U.S. immigration policy and reform, the tafsir of Imam W. Deen Mohammed (RA), panels discussions on our history as a community, unfair discriminatory police profiling, and all the major issues of the day from religion, politics, faith and education, to music, business, health, the arts, physical fitness and more–in real-time and from an Islamic perspective, AM360 opens the listener to the world of Al-Islam in America.

So we ask you now to be there for AM360, the Model Communities National Resource Directory & Resource Network, Muslim American Pioneers Scholarships & History Preservation Programs, Share Your Jumah, Internships, the National Speakers Bureau and more!

We’re half way to our goal with 5 days to go. Won’t you give generously to keep our American Muslim voices strong and ready to remake the world? CWSC AM360 Press Conference on Paris Attacks…

FirstinAmerica

NATIONAL ― As-Salaam-Alaikum (Peace be with you).

“Over the last few days we have witnessed yet again, horrific violence committed by extremists allegedly in the name of Islam, and I use the word allegedly, because we don’t accept their ideology of ‘by any means necessary’ including the murder of innocent civilians, and other atrocities.” Mukhtar Muhammad, Executive Director, CWSC, Inc.

NATIONAL – The Community Wide Shuraa Conference (CWSC) and American Muslim 360 (AM360) leaders convened a national press conference on November 27, 2015 in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris, France. As a major media influencer in the American Muslim community, AM360 sought to lend its voice as expeditiously as possible in not only expressing condolences and condemning the attacks, but also in supporting the CWSC’s strategic efforts to address a critical weakness hampering our group intellect’s ability to elevate its work in remaking the world. Click on the link to hear this important address. May Allah (SWT) bless us to elevate work to its highest capacity to speak to, and work for greater justice in America and the world. Blessed Jumah.

MCNRD Online Portal Connecting Our Group Intellect

“And every one has a direction to which he should turn, therefore hasten to do good works; wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together; surely Allah has power over all things.” Q, 2:148

“The relationship of the believer with another believer is like (the bricks of) a building, each strengthens the other.” He illustrated this by interlacing the fingers of both his hands. Prophet Muhammed (S) [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

“Males and females should address us and address the general concern and then someone who is knowledgeable of the makeup of this conference, the persons, and skills…someone should know all of us and what we have to offer; if we don’t have this, then we can grow into this…we can grow into it.  You know maybe I’m speaking beyond what we have right now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do this, we have to grow into it if we don’t have it.” ―Imam W. Deen Mohammed (RA)

ConnectingIntellectNATIONAL― As part of the Community Wide Shuraa Conference’s (CWSC) mission to help the Community unleash and harness the full capacity inherent in the group intellect, the national nonprofit announces the deployment of the Model Communities National Resource Directory or MCNRD.  For nearly a year, CWSC has been working on developing a way to allow every believer to easily connect to the group intellect nationally and to use their G-d given talents to help every institution in our community.

CWSC’s executive director, Mukhtar Muhammad, shared that “MCNRD will be the first national project of its kind designed to comprehensively catalog online the knowledge, skills, experience, training, degrees, and certifications held by believers committed to helping establish model communities and to connect those resources to institutions nationwide who want access to a diverse group intellect. Our institutions can now now access expertise that can help organizations with their internal administrative systems management and design, as well as help improve the design of local community outreach programs, such that their service delivery is operating at the highest level of organizational excellence.  We now have in place the infrastructure and leadership to administer this program.”

MCNRDMCNRD can be a game changer for our entire community. Make no mistake, this is a large scale project that requires coordination and communication at all levels as we issue a call for every believer in our Association from seniors in high school to retirees to register in the Model Communities National Resource Directory along with a simultaneous call for institutions to register and access the vast expertise available throughout the country.  This is a momentous day, and if our Imam was present with us physically, we believe he would say…‘they got it—my community has gotten it!’ MCNRD is really the fulfillment of our dream or should we say our aspiration as a community. And CWSC is going to need help administering this program.  We need our national sister organizations and all institutions to help us in this effort. Click here for full the press release to learn how your school, masjid or other non-profit can receive free assistance. MCNRD is also available to for-profit organizations.

Expanding 2016 College Scholarship Opportunities: The Twin Servant of Peace Excellence in Broadcasting & Communication College Scholarship Award

CWSCScholarships

We’re adding a third scholarship to help inspire new leaders for our intelligentsia! Integrated into the ongoing CWSC AM360 Radio-Telethon is the drive to help fund a new scholarship at CWSC: The Twin Servant of Peace Excellence in Broadcasting & Communication College Scholarship in honor of AM360 and CWSC founder the late Thomas Abdul Salaam (RA). Our Brother Thomas was blessed to make connections from the wisdom of Imam Dr. W. Deen Mohammed (RA) by peering into the future and making one of the greatest connections our Community has ever benefited from.

Thomas, integrated the vision of a national working intelligentsia with a powerful broadcasting medium…he brought together CWSC and AM360 to create the shared freedom space for ideas coming from our group intellect; he paired that freedom with the apparatus to connect believers anywhere in the country or even the world to work for the realization of those ideas. If you respected his work, appreciated his sacrifice and his love for our Community, if you value the ongoing work, if you believe we need our own media and national working intelligentsia, then now is the time to show your support. And help inspire a new generation of broadcasters, journalists and authors to think big, just as Thomas did…to help remake the world. Give generously.
