Honoring Our Veterans

In Appreciation for Serving…

Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah has granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit at home. Unto all in Faith has Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight has He distinguished above those who sit at home by a special reward…Al-Qur’an, 4:59

And did not Allah check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief. But Allah is full of bounty to all the worlds…Al-Qur’an, 2:251

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) commanded: “O! People do not wish to encounter the enemy; from Allah wish for good health and when you encounter them, be patient. Know that heaven is under the shadow of the swords.”

…None might be able to practice their faith or demand their voices be heard if there were not those willing to go forth…

NATIONAL – Veterans Day is a period of reflection set aside to pay our respects and to honor those who have served. And while it is for a day, we should remember always that there are those who sacrifice so that the rest of us can be free. Free to believe as we wish; worship as we like; assemble for a cause or vote according to out conscience. Yet none might be able to believe according to his or her heart and intellect; none might be able to practice his or her faith privately or publicly; none might be able to vote or peacefully assemble and demand their voice be heard—if there were not those willing to go forth. We honor you and thank you. May Allah (SWT) Who is the Final Judge and has full knowledge of all things hidden and revealed, reward His Servants according to the best of their deeds and protect their families and our nation and all mankind working, respecting and defending the G-d-given freedoms that is the sovereign right of every human being. Click on the listen button above and tune in to AM360.org today to hear a special Veteran’s Day message from Navy Veteran, CWSC volunteer, and President for the Sister Clara Mohammed National Alumni Association Priscilla Al-Uqdah. We wish you a Happy, Safe & Peaceful Veteran’s Day.
