NATIONAL – Innalilahi wa innailayhi rajiuun (To our Lord we belong and to Him we must return). The CWSC honors American Muslim Pioneer, CWSC volunteer, and AM360 host alum Hajja Nuurah Amatuallah Muhammad who passed from this life February 24, 2019.

Sister Nuura was a contributor here at AM360 and her voice is heard on-air promoting the Qur’an Reading Program. She also served the Community at the national level as one of our talk show hosts. Her voice will always be with the Network and her work preserved so long as the CWSC stands in the hallowed halls of community service. Read more here.

Congrats to CWSC Director for Christian-Muslim Relations, Debbie Shankman, who has been selected to represent the CWSC! Last year CWSC was represented at Muslim Advocacy Day and presented the first iteration of the Never Again Interfaith Letter In the aftermath of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Sister Debbie was part of a CWSC Delegation last year that delivered to several Senate and House Leaders a 2nd iteration of the Letter signed by some 60 organizations including the Secretary General of the World Council of Religious Leaders. It was Sister Debbie’s stellar support and compassionate leadership that led to her appointment as CWSC Director for Christian-Muslim Relations.

We wish Debbie and all the delegates traveling from around the nation a safe and successful Muslim Advocacy Day.
