About Us

The Community Wide Shuraa Conference™ (CWSC) is established as a national resource and community service center supporting the Qur’anic principle of representative democracy or mutual consultation (Amruhum Shuraa Baynahum) in the conduct of community affairs:
h

“So whatever you are given is but a provision of this world’s life, and that which Allah has is better and more lasting for those who believe and rely on their Lord…And those who respond to their Lord and keep up prayer, and whose affairs are decided by counsel among themselves…” —The Noble & Glorious Qur’an, Sura Ash-Shura (42:36…42:38)

CWSC recognizes that only through Shuraa can the power of the group intellect be fully utilized for solving problems and discovering opportunities that help each of us improve our individual, family and community life.

Vision Statement
To remake our world into a better place by unleashing and harnessing the full capacity inherent in the group intellect.

Mission Statement
To realize our model community vision by operating as a national intelligentsia, researching, designing, communicating and implementing solutions that enhance goal achievement in all aspects of our community life.

Who we are
CWSC is a non-partisan IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt faith-based national conference bringing together diverse human resources with the desire, knowledge and experience to help achieve the highest level of excellence in community life.

Whom we serve
CWSC focuses on its affiliated institutions and the historically disadvantaged communities they serve, and is also committed to comprehensive community outreach irrespective of color, race, religion, ethnic or national origin in inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and discouraging all that is detrimental to the best established societal standards and practices.

Where we serve
CWSC serves institutions and communities around the nation through alliances with other faith-based entities. We partner with civic, business, and governmental entities in fulfilling our mission.

CWSC Volunteers and Donors
CWSC’s mission is supported by a national faith-based network of volunteers and institutions committed to model community excellence throughout America. CWSC organizes volunteers just like you across a broad spectrum of expertise and experience to be consultants for affiliated institutions seeking help with their internal operations, community development or outreach efforts. CWSC’s primary financial support comes from individual donors like you. We also seek support through philanthropic and grant opportunities.

Guiding Principles and Core Values
The ethical guide for all our actions shall be in accord with the Qur’an and the life example of Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him). Our leadership legacy in Imam W. Deen Mohammed (ra) serves as a contemporary example of the application of Qur’an and the life example of Prophet Muhammed (S).

Eight (8) core values support the guiding principles of and governance for CWSC:
• Respect for the Group Intellect
• Reliance on Mutual Consultation
• Qur’anic-Based Support and Problem Solving
